Radio Technician
A radio technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing radio communication equipment. They must have a strong understanding of electronic systems and be able to troubleshoot and diagnose issues with radio equipment. This role may require working in remote or outdoor locations, so physical fitness and adaptability are essential. The ideal candidate should have a technical diploma or degree in electronics or a related field and at least 2 years of experience working with radio equipment. They should also have excellent communication skills and be able to work well independently as well as collaborate with a team.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair various types of radio communication equipment
- Troubleshoot technical issues with radio equipment and perform necessary repairs
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure proper functioning of equipment
- Keep detailed records of repairs and maintenance performed on radio equipment
- Collaborate with other technicians and team members to complete projects efficiently
- Stay updated on new technologies and advancements in the field of radio communication
Requirements:
- Technical diploma or degree in electronics or related field preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with radio equipment
- Strong understanding of electronic systems and ability to troubleshoot technical issues
- Physically fit and adaptable to working in remote or outdoor locations if needed
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Salary: $1400 per month
Location: Bungoma, Kenya (preference for local candidates)
Employment Type: Full-time (40 hours per week)
Visa Sponsorship: Not available (preference for candidates who already have the right to work in Kenya)
Language Requirements: Fluency in English required
