Mechanic


We are a busy auto repair shop in Eldoret, Kenya looking for an experienced and skilled mechanic to join our team. As a mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing a variety of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and motorcycles.

Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on vehicles
- Diagnose mechanical issues and provide accurate repair recommendations
- Repair or replace faulty parts and components
- Perform tune-ups and engine overhauls
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify problems
- Communicate effectively with customers about repairs and estimated costs
- Keep detailed records of all repairs and maintenance work

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience as a mechanic in a professional setting
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems and their components
- Experience with diagnostic tools and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals
- Good communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Preferred qualifications:
- Certified Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification
- Technical or trade school degree in mechanics
- Bilingual (English/Swahili)

Salary: 1100$ per month
