Back-End Developer (Contract) - Washington, D.C., USA

We are hiring a skilled Back-End Developer to join our dynamic team in Washington, D.C. As a Back-End Developer, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining the server-side of web applications, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. You will also collaborate with the front-end development team to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic. This is a contract position with competitive salary of 1100$ per month and includes free visa and ticket for non-local candidates.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain server-side components of web applications
- Participate in code reviews and ensure code quality
- Collaborate with front-end team to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
- Troubleshoot and debug issues reported by users or testing teams
- Ensure security and data protection for web applications
- Stay up-to-date on emerging back-end technologies and industry trends

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proven work experience as a Back-End Developer or similar role
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Ruby on Rails
- Experience working with databases like MySQL or MongoDB
- Familiarity with front-end languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus
- Knowledge of web servers such as Apache or Nginx is preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
