Experienced Body Repair Technician
We are in need of a skilled and experienced Body Repair Technician to join our team in Nakuru. As a Body Repair Technician, you will be responsible for repairing and restoring damaged vehicles to their original condition. This is a physically demanding job that requires attention to detail and the ability to work with various tools and equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect damaged vehicles and assess the extent of repairs needed
- Repair or replace damaged body parts using appropriate tools and techniques
- Straighten bent frames and panels using specialized equipment
- Remove dents, scratches, and other imperfections from vehicle surfaces
- Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, priming, and masking
- Apply paint using spray guns or other methods as needed
- Perform quality checks to ensure repairs meet industry standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in auto body repair preferred
- Minimum of 3 years experience in auto body repair, with a focus on collision repair preferred
- Strong knowledge of vehicle construction, repair techniques, and safety procedures
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
- Proficient in using various hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods of time
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
