Contract Librarian - Alta, Norway

We are seeking an experienced Librarian to join our team in Alta, Norway on a contract basis. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing our library collection, providing research assistance to patrons, and promoting library services to the community. The ideal candidate should have previous experience working as a Librarian and possess excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and organize library collection including cataloging, shelving, and weeding materials
- Provide research assistance to patrons by locating relevant information and resources
- Promote library services through outreach activities and programs
- Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations to increase library usage
- Assist with budget management for library materials and supplies
- Train and supervise library staff members or volunteers

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Previous experience working as a Librarian preferred
- Knowledge of library systems and cataloging methods
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to work with diverse populations
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
