Blast Furnace Operator
Location: Bungoma, Kenya
Salary: $900/month


We are seeking a skilled Blast Furnace Operator to join our team at our steel production plant in Bungoma. As a Blast Furnace Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the blast furnace in order to produce high-quality iron. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
- Operate the blast furnace according to established procedures and safety guidelines
- Monitor temperature, pressure, and other indicators to ensure proper operation of the furnace
- Adjust controls as needed to maintain desired output and quality of iron
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform minor repairs as necessary
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations at all times

Requirements:
- Experience working as a Blast Furnace Operator or in a similar industrial setting
- Physically fit and able to perform manual labor for extended periods of time
- Basic understanding of machinery and mechanical systems
- Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with coworkers
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Flexibility to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays if needed

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience operating a blast furnace specifically in steel production
- Knowledge of basic metallurgy principles related to iron production
- Experience with welding or other maintenance tasks
- Prior experience using computerized control systems
