Junior Accountant


We are a growing accounting firm in Utena seeking a Junior Accountant to join our team. As a Junior Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of financial statements, analyzing and reconciling accounts, and preparing tax returns. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and a strong understanding of accounting principles. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or those looking to start their career in accounting. Fluency in English and proficiency in Indian accounting standards is preferred but not required. This is a full-time position with a starting salary of $1200 per month.

As a Junior Accountant, your responsibilities will include:

- Assisting with the preparation of financial statements following Indian accounting standards
- Analyzing and reconciling accounts, including bank statements and credit card transactions
- Preparing journal entries and maintaining general ledger accounts
- Assisting with the preparation of various tax returns, such as income tax and sales tax
- Conducting research on accounting regulations and updates
- Communicating effectively with clients to address any questions or concerns regarding their financial statements or tax returns
- Collaborating with senior accountants to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software programs
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal (proficiency in Indian languages is preferred but not required)
- Prior experience is not required; however, candidates with internship experience will be given preference
