Plasterboard Worker



We are seeking a skilled Plasterboard Worker to join our team in Atlanta. As a Plasterboard Worker, you will be responsible for installing and repairing plasterboard walls and ceilings in both residential and commercial buildings. Your primary duties will include measuring and cutting plasterboard to fit specific areas, securing it with screws or nails, and applying joint compound to create a smooth finish. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the construction industry and excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

- Measure and cut plasterboard to fit specific areas
- Secure plasterboard with screws or nails
- Apply joint compound to create a smooth finish
- Repair damaged plasterboard walls or ceilings
- Install insulation behind plasterboard when necessary
- Use hand tools, power tools, and scaffolding as needed
- Follow safety regulations at all times
- Communicate with team members and contractors as needed

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in construction or carpentry preferred
- Knowledge of different types of plasterboard and their uses
- Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions accurately
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Own basic set of hand tools (company will provide power tools)
- Valid driver's license preferred

Salary: $1300 per month
