Our company is currently seeking a skilled Debt Collection Specialist to join our team in Nairobi, Kenya. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with strong communication and negotiation skills to help us recover outstanding debts from clients.

As a Debt Collection Specialist, you will be responsible for contacting clients who have overdue payments and persuading them to fulfill their financial obligations. This will require building relationships with clients, understanding their financial situations, and developing payment plans that work for both parties.

Key Responsibilities:
- Contact clients via phone calls, emails or letters to discuss overdue payments
- Negotiate payment plans with clients based on their financial situation and the company's policies
- Document all communication and actions taken with clients in our database
- Initiate legal action if necessary and follow through with court proceedings
- Maintain accurate records of all debt collection activities
- Collaborate with other departments such as accounting and customer service to resolve any payment disputes or issues

Qualifications:
- Proven working experience as a Debt Collection Specialist or similar role
- Knowledge of debt collection laws and regulations
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to handle difficult conversations and maintain professionalism at all times
- Strong attention to detail and ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficient in using computer systems and databases

Salary:
The salary for this position is $1600 per month.

Location:
This position is located in Nairobi, Kenya. We are currently only considering candidates who are already living in or willing to relocate to Nairobi.
