Sous Chef
As a Sous Chef at our restaurant in Alta, you will be responsible for assisting the head chef in overseeing the kitchen operations and ensuring high-quality dishes are consistently served to our guests. This is a fast-paced and exciting role that requires excellent culinary skills, leadership abilities, and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in creating and updating menus
- Oversee daily food preparation and presentation
- Supervise kitchen staff and delegate tasks
- Ensure proper use of ingredients and portion control
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Train new employees on cooking techniques and menu items
- Collaborate with the head chef to develop new recipes
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a sous chef or similar role
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred
- In-depth knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and recipes
- Ability to lead a team under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
- Excellent communication skills to effectively work with staff and management
