Turner - Metalworking Specialist


We are a metalworking company located in Atlanta and we are seeking a highly skilled Turner to join our team. As a Turner, you will be responsible for operating machinery and tools to shape metal pieces into specific parts or components.

Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine specifications for metal pieces
- Set up and operate various machinery such as lathes, grinders, drills, and mills to cut and shape metal pieces
- Use precision measuring tools to ensure accuracy of finished products
- Monitor the performance of machines, make adjustments as needed, and perform maintenance tasks to keep them running smoothly
- Inspect finished products for quality control purposes
- Work with a variety of metals including steel, aluminum, brass, and copper
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the production process

Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience as a Turner or in a similar role
- Proficient in reading technical drawings and blueprints
- Extensive knowledge of metalworking techniques and machinery operation
- Familiarity with precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy materials if needed
- Biometric passport or willingness to obtain one
