Head Pastry Chef
We are in search of a talented and experienced Head Pastry Chef to join our team in Alta, Norway. As the Head Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our pastry department and ensuring that our sweet treats are of the highest quality.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and create new dessert and pastry recipes
- Oversee the production and presentation of all pastries and desserts
- Manage inventory and ordering of pastry supplies
- Train, supervise, and schedule pastry team
- Maintain high standards of food safety and cleanliness in the pastry kitchen
- Collaborate with other departments to create cohesive menus for events or special occasions
- Stay updated on current trends and techniques in pastry making
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role
- Creative flair and passion for creating delicious desserts
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
- Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks at once
Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts or related field preferred
- Certification in Food Safety/HACCP is a plus
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role
Salary:
We are offering a competitive salary of $1000 per month for this full-time position.
