Data Mining Specialist



We are hiring a skilled Data Mining Specialist to join our dynamic team in St. Petersburg. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing large datasets, identifying patterns and trends, and using data mining techniques to discover insights that will inform business strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in statistics, machine learning, and programming languages such as SQL and Python. Experience with data visualization tools and knowledge of database management systems is also preferred. As a Data Mining Specialist, you will play a crucial role in driving the success of our company by providing valuable insights and recommendations based on your data analysis.

Salary: $1700 per month (negotiable)

Responsibilities:
- Collecting, organizing, and analyzing large datasets
- Using statistical models and algorithms to identify patterns and trends
- Developing data mining processes to extract meaningful information from complex data sets
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and objectives
- Communicating findings through data visualizations, reports, and presentations
- Recommending changes or improvements based on analysis results
- Monitoring data integrity to ensure accuracy of results
- Staying updated on industry advancements in data mining techniques

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or related field
- 2+ years of experience in data mining or similar role
- Proficiency in SQL and Python programming languages
- Strong understanding of statistical methods and machine learning algorithms
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
- Familiarity with database management systems (e.g. MySQL)
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Data Science or related field
- Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop or Spark
- Knowledge of programming languages such as R or Java
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure
- Experience in a business intelligence or data analytics role
