Instrument Technician - Electrical Maintenance

We are seeking an experienced Instrument Technician to join our team in Akron. As an Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for performing electrical maintenance on industrial equipment and machinery. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.

Key responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Install, calibrate, test, and troubleshoot various instruments such as transmitters, controllers, switches, and control valves.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to determine the layout of wiring systems.
- Use tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, voltage testers, and other specialized equipment to diagnose and repair electrical issues.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working with high voltage equipment.
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Document all maintenance activities accurately in logs and reports.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in electrical/instrumentation field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as an Instrument Technician in an industrial setting.
- Strong understanding of electrical theory and practical application of electrical principles.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Proficiency in using various testing equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.
- Knowledge of PLCs (programmable logic controllers) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Salary: $1100 per month (negotiable based on experience)
