Head Chef in Gujrat, India
Our restaurant in Gujrat, India is seeking a skilled Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and uphold our reputation for exceptional cuisine. As the head of our culinary operations, you will be responsible for creating delicious and visually appealing dishes while ensuring a high level of food safety and sanitation.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities
- Create menus that are innovative, seasonal and catered to the local palate
- Oversee inventory management, ordering and budgeting to ensure cost-effectiveness
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, including cooks, prep cooks and dishwashers
- Ensure all food meets quality standards before being served to guests
- Maintain proper sanitation procedures in the kitchen at all times
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant environment
- Excellent knowledge of ingredients, equipment, techniques and safety standards
- Creativity in developing new dishes while staying true to traditional recipes
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate staff effectively
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or related field preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a chef
- Experience working with Indian cuisine is highly desirable
