Head Chef - Almada, Portugal


We are seeking a skilled and experienced Head Chef to join our team in Almada, Portugal. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and managing kitchen staff. You must have a passion for cooking and a creative flair for developing new dishes. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Chef and previous experience in a leadership role.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop innovative and high-quality menu items that meet customers' preferences and seasonal availability
- Oversee food preparation and ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of taste, presentation, and quality
- Train, supervise, and motivate kitchen staff to maintain high levels of productivity and efficiency
- Manage inventory levels and ensure timely ordering of ingredients to maintain freshness
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Collaborate with management to create budgets and monitor kitchen expenses
- Continuously evaluate kitchen processes to identify areas for improvement

Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Chef in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Proven track record in menu planning and creating new dishes
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Portuguese (preferred)
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- A culinary degree or certificate is preferred but not required

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $900 per month along with additional benefits such as health insurance, paid vacation time, and opportunities for career growth within our company.
