Housekeeping Assistant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and hardworking Housekeeping Assistant to join our team at a luxury hotel in Remish, Kenya. As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. You will also assist with laundry services and other housekeeping tasks as needed.

Responsibilities:
- Clean and tidy guest rooms according to hotel standards and procedures
- Stock and maintain housekeeping carts with necessary supplies
- Ensure all amenities are replenished in guest rooms
- Vacuum carpets and mop floors in guest rooms and public areas
- Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and fittings
- Report any maintenance or repair issues to the appropriate department
- Assist with laundry services including washing, drying, folding, and ironing linens
- Maintain a clean and organized back-of-house area
- Follow all safety procedures while using cleaning chemicals and equipment

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role is beneficial but not required
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail with excellent time management skills
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Good communication skills in English (knowledge of other languages is an asset)
- Must be willing to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, early mornings or late evenings as needed
