Sous Chef - Executive Chef Assistant
As a Sous Chef - Executive Chef Assistant, you will work closely with the Executive Chef to oversee the overall daily operations of the kitchen in our high-end restaurant located in the vibrant city of Las Vegas. This is a full-time position that does not require English language proficiency and is open to Kenyan nationals. No prior experience as a chef is required, making this an ideal opportunity for someone looking to break into the culinary industry.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning and creating new dishes
- Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring high standards of food preparation and presentation
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the kitchen
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and exceptional guest experiences
- Support cost control efforts by minimizing waste and monitoring food costs
Requirements:
- Kenyan nationality preferred
- Proven experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment, such as hotels or restaurants
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong leadership and communication skills
