Malayalee Chef in Malindi, Kenya
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Malayalee Chef to join our team in Malindi, Kenya. As a Malayalee Chef, you will be responsible for creating traditional Malayalee dishes while also incorporating local flavors and ingredients. You will work closely with our kitchen team to ensure high-quality and authentic food is served to our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook traditional Malayalee dishes such as appam, meen curry, and aviyal.
- Incorporate local ingredients and flavors into dishes to create unique and flavorful combinations.
- Train and supervise kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and presentation of dishes.
- Ensure high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation are maintained at all times.
- Develop new dishes for menu based on customer feedback and seasonal availability of ingredients.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area, following all food safety regulations.
- Manage inventory levels of ingredients and supplies to minimize waste.
Requirements:
- Must be fluent in Malayalam language.
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Chef specializing in Malayalee cuisine.
- Knowledge of local Kenyan ingredients and spices preferred.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively train and manage kitchen staff.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Must be willing to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
Salary:
$1600 per month
