Livestock Specialist


We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Livestock Specialist to join our team in Abu Dhabi. As a Livestock Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the health and welfare of our livestock, including cattle, sheep, goats, and camels. You will work closely with the farm manager to ensure that all livestock is properly cared for and that production goals are met.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor the health and well-being of all livestock on the farm
- Administer vaccinations and medications as needed
- Perform routine health checks and identify any potential issues
- Assist with calving/lambing/kidding as necessary
- Maintain accurate records of all livestock activities
- Oversee feeding and nutrition plans for all animals
- Implement breeding programs to improve herd/flock genetics
- Coordinate with veterinarians for any specialized care or treatments
- Train and supervise farm staff in proper handling and care of livestock

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience working with livestock, preferably in a desert environment
- Familiarity with common diseases and treatments in livestock
- Ability to handle large animals safely
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Physical fitness to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions

Salary: 1800$ per month

This position is open to Indian nationals who hold their own valid visa. Accommodation will not be provided.
