Executive Chef for Luxury Hotel in Mombasa, Kenya

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our luxury hotel in Mombasa, Kenya. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the hotel's culinary operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen management. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1700$, plus benefits.

Key Responsibilities:
- Create and develop menus that reflect local flavors and international cuisine trends
- Oversee all food preparation and ensure top quality dishes are consistently served
- Manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling and performance evaluations
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed to support menu offerings
- Monitor food costs and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of food service throughout the hotel

Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Chef in a luxury hotel or fine dining establishment
- Excellent knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards
- Proven track record of maintaining strict quality control standards while managing costs
- Fluent in English (knowledge of Swahili is a plus)
- Degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or related field
