Executive Chef - Fine Dining Restaurant (Washington, D.C., USA)


We are seeking a highly skilled Executive Chef to oversee the daily operations of our fine dining restaurant in Washington, D.C. As the head of our culinary team, you will be responsible for creating and executing unique and innovative menus that showcase the best of local and seasonal ingredients. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop creative menus that appeal to a diverse clientele while maintaining high quality standards
- Source and select the freshest and highest quality ingredients from local suppliers
- Oversee all aspects of food preparation, including cooking, plating, and presentation
- Train, mentor, and manage kitchen staff to ensure consistency in food quality and service standards
- Monitor inventory levels and control food costs through efficient purchasing practices
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
- Collaborate with other departments, such as front-of-house staff, to ensure seamless service delivery

Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Chef in a high-end restaurant or hotel setting
- Proven track record of creating successful menus that reflect current food trends and seasonal produce
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, develop, and motivate a diverse team of kitchen staff
- In-depth knowledge of various cooking techniques and styles from around the world
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships with suppliers, colleagues, and guests
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Must be willing to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred

Salary:
Starting salary $1600 per month with potential for growth based on performance.
