Instrument Technician
The Instrument Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various instruments and equipment used in industrial or laboratory settings. This role requires a strong understanding of electronics and the ability to troubleshoot and solve technical issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, calibrate, and maintain various instruments such as pressure gauges, flow meters, temperature sensors, and control valves
- Troubleshoot and repair any malfunctions in instruments or equipment
- Use specialized tools and equipment to diagnose problems and perform repairs
- Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and report any issues to management
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to identify solutions for complex problems
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed during maintenance activities
- Stay up-to-date on new technologies and techniques in the field of instrumentation
Requirements:
- Degree or certification in Instrumentation Technology or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience as an Instrument Technician
- Strong understanding of electronic components and circuitry
- Knowledge of industrial control systems such as PLCs (programmable logic controllers) is preferred
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with a keen attention to detail
- Physically fit with the ability to work in confined spaces or at heights if required
Working Conditions:
This is a full-time position based in Lisbon. The salary for this role is $1300 per month. The successful candidate must be eligible for visa sponsorship if not already authorized to work in Portugal. This role does not include accommodation.
