Librarian Specialist (Al-Rayyan, Qatar)


We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Librarian Specialist to join our team in Al-Rayyan, Qatar. As a Librarian Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and organizing our library collection, providing research assistance to patrons, and developing and implementing library programs.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and organize the library collection including cataloging books, periodicals, and other materials
- Assist patrons with research inquiries using online databases and reference materials
- Develop and implement innovative library programs to engage the community
- Maintain library website and social media presence to promote library resources and events
- Train students on how to use library resources effectively
- Collaborate with teachers to incorporate library resources into classroom instruction
- Assist with budget management for purchasing new materials
- Keep up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the field of librarianship

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a library setting
- Strong knowledge of cataloging systems
- Familiarity with online databases and reference materials
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Proficient in English (knowledge of Arabic is a plus)

Salary: 1700$ per month

This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) based in Al-Rayyan, Qatar. We welcome applications from all nationalities but preference will be given to Indian candidates. Biometric passport is required for this position.
