Senior Accountant


We are hiring a highly experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Malindi, Kenya. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the financial records and transactions of our company. Your duties will include preparing financial statements, maintaining accurate and organized financial records, and providing financial analysis and advice to management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day accounting operations of the company
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends and provide insights to management
- Create budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to support business decision making
- Ensure compliance with local tax laws and regulations
- Monitor cash flow and manage accounts payable/receivable
- Oversee payroll processing and reconciliation
- Provide guidance to junior accounting staff as needed

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in accounting or related field
- Proficient in accounting software (QuickBooks preferred)
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to analyze data effectively and provide insights to management
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Fluency in English is preferred but not required
