Job Title: Experienced Accountant - Porto, Portugal



We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant to join our team in Porto, Portugal. As an experienced Accountant, you will play a crucial role in our financial operations by managing and analyzing financial information, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.

Responsibilities:
- Manage all accounting activities including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and tax compliance.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports.
- Perform month-end and year-end close processes.
- Analyze financial data and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Conduct regular audits to identify any discrepancies or errors.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper communication of financial information.
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Train and mentor junior accounting staff.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Proven work experience as an Accountant (minimum of 3 years).
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g. Quickbooks) and MS Office.
- Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred:
- CPA certification is a plus.

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1500$ per month, depending on qualifications and experience.
