Sous Chef (Karachi, Pakistan)
Our restaurant in Karachi is looking for a skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team. As a Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef to manage and oversee all aspects of the kitchen operations. You will be responsible for supervising and training junior kitchen staff, creating menus, ordering supplies, and ensuring food quality and safety standards are met.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Sous Chef in a high-volume restaurant
- Knowledge of Pakistani cuisine and cooking techniques
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage and motivate a team
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts or related field preferred
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in creating menus that showcase traditional Pakistani dishes with modern twists
- Oversee daily kitchen operations including food preparation, cooking, and plating
- Train and supervise junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and feedback as needed
- Ensure that all dishes are prepared according to recipes and high-quality standards are maintained at all times
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for supplies as needed
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and adhere to food safety regulations
- Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu planning, costing, budgeting, and scheduling
Salary:
We are offering a competitive salary of 1000$ per month for this full-time position. Salary may be negotiable depending on experience.
