Equipment Operator

Our equipment rental company in Funchal is seeking an experienced Equipment Operator to join our team. As an Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of heavy machinery, including excavators, bulldozers, and backhoes. This is a full-time position with a salary of $1400 per month.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy equipment according to safety regulations and company guidelines
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on equipment
- Transport equipment to job sites and set up for operation
- Safely load and unload materials onto trucks or other transportation vehicles
- Complete daily logs and reports on equipment usage and maintenance
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience as an Equipment Operator
- Proficient in operating various types of heavy machinery
- Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures for handling heavy equipment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in outdoor environments
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Preferred:
- Certification in Heavy Equipment Operation or equivalent training program
- Bilingual (English/Portuguese) for effective communication with team members
