Heavy Equipment Operator


We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team in Funchal. As an Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy machinery such as bulldozers, excavators, and loaders to move materials and perform tasks on construction sites. Your main goal will be to ensure efficient and safe operation of the equipment while following all safety regulations.

Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy equipment according to job specifications and safety guidelines
- Inspect machines before and after use, reporting any issues or malfunctions
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment, such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning
- Follow project plans and blueprints to accurately complete tasks
- Communicate with team members regarding project progress and any potential obstacles
- Safely load and unload materials using the equipment
- Adhere to all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator or similar role
- Valid certification or training in operating heavy machinery
- Proficient in reading blueprints and following project plans
- Good understanding of safety regulations for operating heavy equipment
- Physically fit with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays if needed
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1100 per month with opportunities for growth within the company.

Location:
This position is based in Funchal but may require travel to different construction sites around the city.
