Junior Game Developer

As a Junior Game Developer, you will be responsible for creating and implementing gameplay features for our upcoming game. You will work closely with the design team to bring their ideas to life and ensure a smooth and engaging gaming experience for our players. This role requires a strong understanding of game development principles and experience with game engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine. Your creativity, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail will be essential in this role. This is a part-time position with the potential for full-time employment in the future.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the design team to develop gameplay mechanics and features
- Write well-designed, efficient, and maintainable code
- Test and debug code to ensure smooth functionality
- Optimize game performance for various platforms
- Stay updated on industry trends and new technologies related to game development
- Communicate progress and potential roadblocks to the project lead

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Game Development or equivalent experience
- Proficient in C# or C++ programming languages
- Experience working with game engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles
- Knowledge of 3D math concepts such as vectors, matrices, and quaternions
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
- Passion for video games and knowledge of different genres/styles
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment

Preferred:
- Experience developing games for mobile platforms (iOS/Android)
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Basic understanding of UI/UX design principles
