Senior Accountant

We are a fast-growing company in need of a talented Senior Accountant to join our team. Our ideal candidate is an experienced and detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and a background in accounting. As the Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial operations of our company, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all financial transactions. This is a full-time position with competitive salary and benefits.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily accounting activities, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis.
- Monitor cash flow and ensure timely payment of bills.
- Manage budgeting process and provide support to department heads.
- Conduct month-end close procedures and prepare necessary reports.
- Review and approve expense reports.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
- Mentor junior staff members in accounting procedures.
- Assist with tax preparation and audits as needed.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as an Accountant, preferably in a senior role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
- Familiarity with financial software programs such as QuickBooks or SAP.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA certification or equivalent preferred.
- Experience working in the construction industry is a plus.
