Chef de Cuisine
As a leading hotel in Eldoret, we are seeking a talented and experienced Executive Chef to join our team. This is a temporary position, perfect for an Egyptian national looking to gain international experience. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in culinary arts and have a passion for creating delicious and innovative dishes. You must have a biometric passport and be willing to relocate to Eldoret for the duration of this position.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating
- Create new menus and dishes that showcase your creativity and expertise
- Train and manage kitchen staff, ensuring high levels of productivity and efficiency
- Monitor food costs and maintain budgetary guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operation of the hotel
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Chef or similar role
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train staff
- Excellent knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment
- Ability to create menus that cater to different dietary needs and preferences
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Salary: $1400 per month (tax-free)
Location: Eldoret, Kenya (temporary relocation required)
Language Requirement: Fluent English preferred but not required
