Preservation Architect
As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historical buildings and structures in the city of Los Angeles. This role requires a strong understanding of architectural design, materials, and techniques used in historic preservation. You will work closely with clients and other team members to develop plans for the restoration or renovation of buildings while maintaining their historical integrity. Your duties may also include conducting site visits, preparing reports and presentations, and overseeing construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a degree in architecture or a related field, with at least 3 years of experience in preservation architecture. This is a full-time position with a salary of $1200 per month, and applicants must already have their own visa to work in the United States.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in architecture or related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in preservation architecture
- Strong understanding of architectural design principles and materials used in historic preservation
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in architectural software such as AutoCAD or Revit
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations
Responsibilities:
- Conduct site visits to assess the condition of historical buildings and structures
- Develop plans for restoration or renovation projects while maintaining historical integrity
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other team members to ensure successful project completion
- Prepare reports and presentations to document project progress and findings
- Oversee construction projects to ensure compliance with plans and specifications
- Stay up-to-date on current preservation techniques, materials, and best practices
