Executive Chef for Seasonal Restaurant in Faro, Portugal
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Executive Chef to lead our seasonal restaurant located in the beautiful city of Faro, Portugal. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen and ensuring the delivery of high-quality and innovative dishes to our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Create and develop menus that showcase local and seasonal ingredients
- Train and supervise kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food quality and presentation
- Manage inventory and ordering to ensure efficient operation of the kitchen
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to provide excellent service to guests
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new techniques into menu offerings
Requirements:
- Biometric passport or legal authorization to work in Portugal
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Chef in a high-volume restaurant setting
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train kitchen staff
- Strong understanding of food cost control, inventory management, and budgeting
- Creative approach to menu development while also adhering to dietary restrictions or allergies
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Salary: $1400 per month (accommodation not provided)
