Librarian Assistant



As a librarian assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of our library in Multan. Your main responsibilities will include assisting the librarian in managing and organizing the library collections, providing excellent customer service to library patrons, and maintaining a welcoming and organized environment for all visitors.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the librarian in cataloging, classifying, and shelving library materials
- Monitor and maintain the condition of library materials, including repairing damaged items
- Assist in purchasing new materials and keeping track of inventory
- Provide reference services to library patrons, including helping with research and locating resources
- Process new library memberships and maintain accurate records of existing members
- Conduct regular maintenance tasks such as dusting shelves, organizing displays, and updating bulletin boards
- Assist with planning and implementing library programs and events for all ages
- Enforce library policies to ensure a safe and pleasant experience for all visitors

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred
- Prior experience working in a library setting is an asset
- Excellent communication skills with a customer service-oriented mindset
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Proficiency in computer skills such as Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with online databases and cataloging systems is an advantage
- Flexibility to work evenings or weekends as needed

Salary: 1600$ per month
