Head Chef - Malaysian Cuisine (Full-Time)
We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and create authentic Malaysian dishes for our busy restaurant in Al Buraymi. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Malaysian cuisine, strong leadership skills, and the ability to consistently deliver high-quality dishes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee all aspects of the kitchen, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation
- Create new and innovative dishes while also maintaining traditional Malaysian flavors
- Train and manage kitchen staff to ensure consistency and high-quality standards are met
- Control food costs by managing inventory and portion control
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized kitchen environment
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Head Chef in a busy restaurant setting
- Proven track record of creating successful Malaysian menus and dishes
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train a diverse team
- In-depth knowledge of Malaysian cuisine, ingredients, and cooking techniques
- Ability to manage inventory, control food costs, and maintain high levels of quality standards
- Must have excellent communication skills in English
Salary: 1600$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
City: Al Buraymi, Oman
Preference: Malayalee nationality preferred but not required. Must have own visa.
