Seasonal Executive Chef for Luxury Hotel in Lisbon, Portugal
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at a luxury hotel in Lisbon, Portugal. This is a seasonal position with the potential for ongoing employment based on performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fine dining and experience managing a large team of kitchen staff.
Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain high-quality menus that reflect the hotel's brand and style
- Oversee all aspects of food preparation and presentation, ensuring top-notch quality, taste, and presentation
- Manage inventory and control food costs while maintaining high standards
- Recruit, train, and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient operation of the kitchen
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth coordination of events and special requests
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment according to health codes
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years experience as an Executive Chef in a luxury hotel or fine dining restaurant
- Proven track record of creating innovative menus with an emphasis on local and seasonal ingredients
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with other departments and communicate expectations to staff
- In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Salary: $1200 per week (negotiable based on experience)
Location: Lisbon, Portugal (accommodation may be provided)
