A reputable library in Siauliai is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Librarian to join our team. This is a contract position, ideal for someone who is passionate about books and eager to share their knowledge with others. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing the library's resources, assisting patrons with research and information requests, and maintaining a welcoming and orderly environment for our visitors.

Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain library materials, including books, periodicals, audiovisual materials, and electronic resources
- Develop and implement effective cataloging systems to ensure efficient retrieval of information
- Assist patrons with research inquiries and provide guidance on how to use library resources effectively
- Plan and lead educational programs, workshops, and events to promote literacy and encourage community engagement
- Collaborate with other librarians to acquire new materials that meet the needs of our diverse user base
- Manage interlibrary loan requests from other libraries
- Train and supervise library staff in day-to-day operations
- Stay updated on industry trends and new technologies in library science

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Proficient in using library management software systems
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people
- Passion for literature and promoting literacy within the community
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Salary: $1400 per month (negotiable based on experience)
Location: Siauliai, Lithuania (open to candidates from Canada or other English-speaking countries)
