Machine Learning Engineer



As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining machine learning algorithms and models. Your role will involve data preprocessing, feature engineering, model training and evaluation, as well as deploying models to production. You will work closely with data scientists and software engineers to develop scalable and efficient solutions for our clients.

Responsibilities:

- Preprocess and clean large datasets to prepare for machine learning algorithms
- Design and implement feature engineering techniques to improve model performance
- Train, evaluate, and tune machine learning models using various algorithms such as regression, classification, clustering, etc.
- Collaborate with data scientists to understand business problems and develop solutions using machine learning techniques
- Build pipelines for automated model training, evaluation, and deployment
- Continuously monitor and improve the performance of deployed models in production
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in machine learning techniques and tools

Requirements:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics or a related field
- Proven experience working with large datasets and using SQL for data manipulation
- Solid understanding of machine learning concepts such as regression, classification, clustering, etc.
- Experience with programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis and model development
- Strong knowledge of machine learning libraries such as scikit-learn or TensorFlow
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure for deploying models in production
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams

Location: This is a remote position but preference will be given to candidates located in Braga.

Salary: 1400$ per month (negotiable based on experience)

Contract: This is a full-time contract position with the potential for extension based on performance.
