Sous Chef
As a Sous Chef in our kitchen, you will play a vital role in creating a memorable dining experience for our guests. Your passion for food and creativity will be showcased through your expert culinary skills and leadership abilities. Working closely with the Head Chef, you will assist in managing daily kitchen operations, menu planning, and ensuring quality standards are consistently met. Your strong organizational skills and attention to detail will be essential in maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, recipe development, and food purchasing
- Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and quality standards
- Supervise and train kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and food safety procedures
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and place orders as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen at all times
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen
- Adhere to all sanitation and safety regulations
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and equipment
- Ability to lead and motivate a team of kitchen staff
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to give clear instructions
- Attention to detail with a focus on quality standards
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the food industry
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1400 per month for this full-time position.
