Chef de Cuisine
As a Chef de Cuisine in our restaurant located in the beautiful city of Funchal, you will be responsible for creating and executing exceptional culinary experiences for our guests. You will oversee the kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and staff management. Your creativity and passion for cooking will be reflected in every dish you create.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Chef de Cuisine or similar role
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience
- Extensive knowledge of various cuisines and cooking techniques
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Fluent in English (Portuguese proficiency is a plus)
Responsibilities:
- Plan menus and create new dishes using fresh, seasonal ingredients
- Oversee food preparation and ensure high quality standards are met at all times
- Train and manage kitchen staff, including scheduling, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions if necessary
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean kitchen environment
- Collaborate with other departments to plan special events or promotions
- Continuously strive to improve the dining experience for our guests
