Title: Merchandiser (Funchal, Portugal)

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Merchandiser to join our team in Funchal, Portugal. As a Merchandiser, you will be responsible for planning and implementing effective merchandising strategies to increase sales and profitability. You will work closely with the marketing and sales teams to ensure that our products are displayed attractively and effectively in stores.

Responsibilities:

- Develop merchandising plans for new product launches and seasonal promotions
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create eye-catching displays that highlight product features and benefits
- Monitor inventory levels and make recommendations for restocking or discontinuing products
- Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and competitor strategies
- Negotiate with retailers for optimal product placement and promotional opportunities
- Train retail staff on product knowledge and merchandising techniques
- Analyze sales data to identify opportunities for improvement in product placement or pricing strategies
- Handle administrative tasks such as processing orders, maintaining records, and organizing product samples

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a Merchandiser or similar role in the retail industry
- Strong understanding of visual merchandising techniques, consumer behavior, and market trends
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships with retailers
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and inventory management software
- Fluency in Portuguese is preferred but not required

Salary: 1200$ per month.
