Library Services Coordinator
As a Library Services Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our library in El-Ain. You will work closely with the library staff and volunteers to ensure that all library services are running smoothly and efficiently. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for promoting literacy and education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise the library staff and volunteers, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient operation of the library.
- Plan and coordinate programming for children, teens, adults, and other special interest groups.
- Conduct reference interviews to assist patrons in locating information and materials.
- Maintain accurate records of library usage, circulation statistics, and inventory.
- Collaborate with other community organizations to promote literacy initiatives.
- Stay updated on new technologies related to libraries and make recommendations for their implementation.
- Manage the budget for library materials, supplies, and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years experience working in a library setting.
- Strong knowledge of library practices, procedures, resources, and technology.
- Excellent communication skills in both Arabic and English (written and verbal).
- Proven leadership abilities with experience managing a team.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Passion for promoting literacy and education within the community.
Salary: $1600 per month
Location: El-Ain (for foreigners)
