Head Chef - Indian Cuisine
We are seeking an experienced Head Chef specializing in Indian cuisine to join our team at a busy restaurant in Jizan. As the head chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire kitchen operations, creating new menus and dishes, and managing a team of cooks and kitchen staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and develop new menu items, incorporating authentic Indian flavors and ingredients
- Oversee the preparation and cooking of all dishes on the menu
- Manage inventory and ordering of supplies to ensure a well-stocked kitchen
- Train and supervise kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, food safety, and sanitation standards
- Ensure food quality and presentation meets restaurant standards
- Collaborate with management on budgeting and cost control measures
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment at all times
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Head Chef in an Indian restaurant or similar establishment
- Extensive knowledge of Indian cuisine, including regional variations and cooking techniques
- Proven ability to create original recipes with traditional flavors while also incorporating modern twists
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team
- Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic proficiency is an advantage)
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1800$ per month for this position.
