Typesetting Specialist


We are seeking an experienced Typesetting Specialist to join our publishing team in Jerusalem. As a Typesetting Specialist, you will be responsible for formatting and setting type for various publishing projects, including books, magazines, and digital publications. This is a contract position with the possibility of a full-time role in the future.

Responsibilities:
- Format and set type for various publishing projects using industry-standard software
- Collaborate with editors and designers to ensure that text is accurately formatted and visually appealing
- Proofread final layouts to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Communicate with printers and other vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in typesetting technology

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in typesetting for publishing projects
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, QuarkXPress, or other typesetting software
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency in layout design
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with team members
- Excellent communication skills

Preferred:
- Experience working with foreign languages and fonts
- Knowledge of HTML and CSS for digital publishing purposes
