Solar Installer

A solar installer is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing solar energy systems for residential or commercial properties. They work with a team to assemble and install solar panels, inverters, batteries, and other necessary equipment. They should also have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in various weather conditions. Key Responsibilities:
- Install solar panels on roofs, ground mounts or other structures according to plans
- Connect panels to electrical systems using wiring, conduit, and other necessary materials
- Test systems to ensure they are functioning properly and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Perform routine maintenance on systems to keep them running efficiently
- Complete required paperwork and documentation accurately
- Adhere to safety standards at all times while working on job sites
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Previous experience in electrical work or solar installation preferred
- Familiarity with building codes and safety regulations related to solar energy systems
- Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions accurately
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently
- Physically fit with the ability to work at heights and lift heavy equipment as needed

Working Conditions:
This position may require working outdoors in various weather conditions such as extreme heat or cold. It also involves climbing ladders or scaffolding, so the candidate must not have a fear of heights. Some travel may be required depending on the location of projects.
