Head Pastry Chef
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Pastry Chef to join our team at our renowned restaurant in Faro. As the Head Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and overseeing the production of all pastries, desserts, and baked goods for our restaurant. You must have a passion for creating exceptional desserts and possess strong leadership skills to manage and train the pastry team.
Responsibilities:
- Create new and innovative dessert menus that align with our restaurant's concept
- Oversee all aspects of pastry production including ordering ingredients, recipe development, and plating
- Train and mentor pastry team members to ensure consistency and quality in all desserts
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the pastry kitchen
- Collaborate with other chefs to ensure seamless service during busy periods
- Manage inventory and control food costs to meet budget requirements
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role in a high-end restaurant setting
- Extensive knowledge of pastry techniques, flavor combinations, and plating styles
- Creative mindset with a passion for experimenting with new flavors and ingredients
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely execution of menu items
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Education:
- Culinary degree or equivalent from an accredited institution is preferred
Salary:
Salary for this position is $1700 per month.

This position is located in Faro, Portugal.
