Librarian



We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Librarian to join our team in Dickirch. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for the acquisition, organization, and management of library resources, as well as providing assistance to library patrons.

Responsibilities:
- Acquire new materials for the library collection through purchasing or donations
- Organize and catalogue books, journals, audiovisual materials, and other resources using the Dewey Decimal Classification system
- Maintain accurate records of library materials and monitor circulation
- Assist patrons with finding and accessing materials, as well as providing information and reference services
- Plan and implement programs and events to encourage community engagement with the library
- Collaborate with other librarians to develop collection policies and strategies for resource management
- Train and supervise library staff and volunteers
- Stay updated on new trends and technologies in library science

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field
- Proven experience working in a library setting
- Strong knowledge of cataloguing systems and information organization
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Proficiency with computer systems and software used in libraries
- Attention to detail
- Ability to multitask efficiently
