Pastry Chef at a High-End Restaurant in Braga, Portugal
We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Pastry Chef to join our team at a high-end restaurant in Braga, Portugal. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious and visually stunning desserts and pastries that will delight our customers. You will work closely with the head chef to develop new menu items and ensure that all pastries and desserts are of the highest quality.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present a variety of desserts, pastries, and baked goods according to menu specifications
- Collaborate with the head chef to create new and innovative menu items
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Train and supervise pastry assistants in proper techniques and procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the pastry kitchen
- Ensure that all pastries and desserts are consistently of high quality
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate them into menu development
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role
- Culinary degree or equivalent training from a recognized institution is preferred
- Extensive knowledge of different types of pastry techniques, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Ability to create visually appealing desserts with attention to detail
- Strong time management skills with the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
Salary:
The salary for this position is 1400$ per month.
