Librarian - Indian or Malayalee Candidates - Visa Sponsorship Available


We are seeking a qualified and experienced Librarian to join our team in Bayan. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing our collection of books, journals, and other materials. You will also assist patrons with research and reference inquiries, as well as oversee the maintenance of our library facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain collection development policies and procedures
- Acquire new materials through purchasing or donations
- Organize and catalog materials using the Dewey Decimal System
- Assist patrons with research and reference inquiries
- Plan and implement educational programs for library users
- Oversee the maintenance of library facilities, including shelving, seating areas, and computer stations
- Train and supervise library staff members

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a library setting
- Proficiency in the Dewey Decimal System and other cataloging systems
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Library Science or a related field
- Experience working with diverse populations, specifically Indian or Malayalee communities
- Fluency in English (knowledge of Malayalam is a plus)
- Familiarity with library software such as Koha or Evergreen

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1100$ per month for this full-time position. Visa sponsorship is available for qualified candidates.
